Other Finnish rap artists worthy of checking out are Kapasiteettiyksikkö, Redrama (who raps in English), Ceebrolistics, Memmy Posse, Mariska and Pikku G, the teenage rapper sensation.

He's a sensation!

"You won't understand the lyrics, but they're about how Pikku G's in love with 9th grade classmate, and the teacher is mad for him for not paying attention to the teaching, and his mom is mad for him because he tried to steal money from the piggy bank to take his love out (that's why there are those hig-pitched vocals on the track, it's the teacher and the mom). He's really kinda sweet, he probably doesn't even know what the "G" in his name stands for.
There is indeed a Finnish rap slang. Some of the words are taken from the ordinary youth slang (which influenced by Swedish, English and Russian), some are modified straight from the US rap talk (for example, "wack" = "wäkki", "dope" = "douppi") and some are coined by the rappers themselves ("taaki", "pössis", "börsta", etc.).

If you like Pikku G, you should check out the two compilations made by his posse, Rockin' da North. "Rockin' da North II: Star Warz" even has small cameos by the RZA, GZA and Alkaholiks. (I'm not kidding!)
The main problem with Finnish rap is think, that there aren't enough original producers. Some of the rappers are actually quite good, and most of them luckily don't try to ape US rappers, but instead come up with material particular to the situation in this country. The producers, however, tend to imitate the US producers instead of creating their own styles. If you want to hear some original-sounding Finnish rap, you should check out Murmurrecordings or Ceebrolistics (who are both part of the same crew).

Yeah, getting US name artists to do a cameo for ya seems to be the hip new thing to do in European Hip-Hop. Last x-mas when I went to Germany I saw Kurupt make an appearence w/ some pompous lozer band (the song choru's: "tu mir ein gefallen und keep it gangsta/das heisst tu genau was du denkst, mann"*) and, hilariously, Lumidee doing a remix of her 2nd single with Kool Savas (hilarious because they did a video for it, and when Savas does his guest spot in german Lumidee's just left there half-heartedly nodding in a "look, I have no idea wtf this guy is on about" kind of fashion).
* translation: "do me a favour and keep it gangsta/that means do exactly what you think man". Brrr.
