American music vs European music

Yeah, yesterday i had a conversation with two americans about european music vs american music. I think that europe has the best, but they didn't. Now, i can't talk to them anymore, so add me on msn at axel_burvall@hotmail.com, and i will show you who's the boss.

I knew a guy who was a huuuuuuuuuge Timbuk 3 fan, and he was so full of rage that sometimes it was painful to look at him when he spoke because you just knew what a huge effort it was for him not to kill you. He had been a cook in the navy and he was from texas.

In 1987 I was on the way to the studio to do my radio show and this kid was just finishing his show and he told me to keep playing the song that he had on until it was over because he was playing it for some buddies. He left and I noticed that it was a song by Billy Joel about Vietnam veterans. The chorus went: "And we will all go down together". I kept playing it, but halfway through i put on the new Jesus & Mary Chain single "Sidewalking" until I had a perfect mix of Billy Joel & The Jesus & Mary Chain playing on the radio. It sounded really good. That kid never complained about it to me. His favorite song was "Forever Young" by Alphaville.
