Nik (Nik), Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

i like the total saturday morning tv / hana barbara / sesame street style you got going there; can i remix it?

Nik (Nik), Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah. I does remind me of something from a saturday morning cartoon.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

haha! okay. (Yeah it's not supposed to be a serious song at all, hence the cliche cartoon sounds like the xylophone "blink blink")

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

x-post

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

What did you use to do it?

Lynskey (Lynskey), Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Nice use of that silly "sick dog" sound you get on general midi percussion sets.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Sunday, 11 April 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I used a Roland RS-9 synthesizer and a MIDI sequencer (actually two MIDI sequencers--I wrote half of it at home and then brought it in to my school's music tech lab)

Sounds like the theme song to a sitcom about two drunk Southern cops who solve crimes by accident.

This isn't necessarily a criticism.

If you can get it to me in a workable form I spy some equally silly bangin' remix.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Sunday, 11 April 2004 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I am the walrus
And I like to walk around
I am the walrus
And I like girls!

It's better than the beatles.

Hahaha omg thats AWESOME! very nice, you are skillful

That Girl You Dont Know, Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

It's very Blur, you know

Aaron A., Monday, 12 April 2004 00:27 (twenty-one years ago)

what would be a "workable form"? (I am unskilled in the art of remixing)

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 12 April 2004 01:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Anything that's net-transmittable

Lynskey (Lynskey), Monday, 12 April 2004 01:40 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...
Here's a more serious effort from me.

I recorded this song for my high school's music technology CD.. I'm one of two sophomores on the CD and I got the third-most votes.

(the title is laughable, yes)

I had to take down the Walrus Song to upload this, but oh well. It had its internet run.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 29 May 2004 01:19 (twenty-one years ago)

YOU ALL HATE ME *runs away crying*

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 29 May 2004 01:46 (twenty-one years ago)

curtis, your walrus song stealthily made its way into my most freqently played list on my ipod.

eric (Eric our fearless leader), Saturday, 29 May 2004 04:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Gravity Box sounds like it should be playing during the credits of an 80's Fantasy/Sci-Fi movie like Highlander. You can take that any way you want to, just my impression.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Saturday, 29 May 2004 05:11 (twenty-one years ago)

i want to hear the walrus song

holojames (holojames), Saturday, 29 May 2004 16:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I need a decent free file hosting site (i.e. everything the internet refuses to offer)
