"April 20th marks the launch of One Little Indian’s extensive catalog campaign, titled “Crossing The Pond.” This program pulls some of the best material previously unreleased in the US from the company’s vaults. These releases will available at special low prices."

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 14:08 (twenty-one years ago)

this doesn't sound like the remastered or added new tracks to these, just made them available in the US. Boo!

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

So nothing I haven't already got then. And of course, ti's Tuesday, so it's US anyway. Wake up, Sicholas.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Thing is that DI Go Pop *was* available in the US, it was released by Bar None.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

why oh why are the shamen in there mucking up this otherwise pretty good reissue campaign????

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

i just fell into a nostalgia hole.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i can't remember what the shaman sounded like, I just remember their video, and the bad high contrast colors, and the dude with sunglasses, and his DEFIANT STANCE

EBENEEZER GOODE

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I CAN MOVE MOVE MOVE ANY MOUNTAIN

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend shoplifted the "Make it Mine" cassingle, but was caught. That and "Move any Mountain" are classic.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

So your friend made "Make It Mine" his/hers. Lucky s/he wasn't trying to liberate "Move Any Mountain" - probably would've been a little bulky to slip into a pocket.

That sounded so much better in my head.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel you! I was going to try and say something clever, but I couldn't work it out. Nice try!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Is the DI Mixing It record worth a look?

original bgm, Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Not a word here about the Kukl and Flux Of Pink Indians reissues??? Damn, that's great!

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

(I mean the reissues are great, not the lack of word on this thread)

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm excited about the flux of pink indians reissues, dammit.

(also excited about getting the s/t kukl thing and i'm hoping it doesn't have that awful DX9 all over it.)

el sabor de gene (yournullfame), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 17:06 (twenty-one years ago)

i almost bought another copy of an uncarved block the other day but i already have one. but i didn't have this one which i guess was a later vinyl issue cuz it didn't have the pooh flying away with the balloons sticker and the cover was white. it was pretty cheap. i should have bought it. no, i don't really need two copies. although, my old copy has been played a lot and isn't in that good a shape. oh well. maybe i will buy it on cd. i sold my taking a libery 7 inch years ago and my fucking pricks/fucking cunts, but i didn't listen to those that much. still have my neu smell and the first album and they are in fine shape. sold that cd with the live stuff though. never played it.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 17:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I have both Kukl l.p.'s, and the DX7 figures heavily enough, esp. on "The Eye". I didn't like that syrupy sound then, don't like it now.
