Freaky Trigger's "Am I Cool Or Not?"

Why does Am I Cool Or Not claim to be a frequently updated feature when it hasn't been updated in months? I mean, if the Freaky Trigger overlords are just bored with it, why not delete it? I'm getting really annoyed by occasionally following that link still to get those two stupid tards staring back at me.

I turn this one over to Tom. ;-) Ones I need to work on myself are getting Otis to update The Third Door and getting me to follow up for more POP: ART bits...

...and more Moments in Love, please

JM, Tuesday, 30 October 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah, mea culpa. The situation is that Nicole has kindly agreed to take over running AICON and that I have lazily not sent her anything with which she might do this. I will try and deal with this tomorrow.

Moments in love, argh. JM are you signed up to contribute? I assume not - if you send me an e-mail address I'll put you on the team and you can contribute directly.

We want AICON back! Archives as well, so I can show my loser face to potential new lovers. And since I have not saved Momus' silly picture on my hd, we definitely need it BACK!

Freaky Trigger overlords, you are our only hope.

Simon, Tuesday, 30 October 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes, please get those archives online if nothing else! Fred's pic and accompanying comments tease me with prospects of hilarity. Help out those who were unlucky enough to not have known about the zine back then!

one year passes...
I believe that this thread is quite old. Why is the AICON thing still up, years later, without having been updated? And, please post the AICON archives, as I recall, they were a hoot. Cheers, -Ricola-

I'm thinking of bringing this back for a one- or two-off for the FT 5th anniversary. Any volunteers?

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 15 March 2004 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

For anyone who doesn't remember, this was a feature where someone would send in a picture, and readers would judge - purely on that picture - what music they liked (and vote 'cool' or 'fool' on that basis). We stopped it cos it was loads of work and also there were quite a lot of uh 'non-musical' comments.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 15 March 2004 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd be willing to volunteer. how much is a lot of work? but yeah i am up for it.

jesus nathalie (nathalie), Monday, 15 March 2004 16:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh it was loads of work for us not for the subjects!

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 15 March 2004 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Doesn't volunteering on this thread rather than via email somewhat spoil the effect?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 15 March 2004 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes it does. Sorry - not thinking today.

If you want to volunteer then PLEASE EMAIL FT at

freakytrigger at hotmail dot com

Rather than on this thread. Thanks!

I was thinking about my entry the other day, oddly enough.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 15 March 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

It more or less came down to "women are cool, men are fools" from what I remember over all... which I don't personally mind, but the point being made from the feature I think has been made. Facial expressions and fashion = let's make cruel musical stereotypes!

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 15 March 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

your mailbox doesn't work tom.

Secret (MarkR), Monday, 15 March 2004 18:46 (twenty-one years ago)

this was the best thing on FT ever, please do bring it back. but I won't volunteer.

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Monday, 15 March 2004 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

You should do it with the picture of Ian and I making noise.
