Laurie Anderson's "Life on a String"

After Dylan and Cohen I have to ask about another release from a significant pop musician. The new Laurie Anderson. Anyone got it? Does it continue the tradition of grand cru albums of Mrs Anderson? (She is married to Lou Reed now, isn't she?)

I heard a couple tracks in someone's car coming home from the Bjork concert, they sounded good. My friend, a big Laurie Anderson fan, said the album had some great stuff and some ok stuff.

Despite his place in the canon, being married to Lou Reed sounds just awful. Didn't he spend the mid-seventies living with a transsexual (answer: yes)? And he's a renowned asshole... hmmm, maybe Laurie isn't as sweet as she seems either.

Significant? :)

Maybe I should have said "significant musician" instead of "significant pop musicien". But significant she is that is for sure. And clever as well which is rare in the business. Cohen, Dylan and she are significant also in that sense that all three write lyrics close to poetry. Most lyrics nowadays are absolutely vacuous.
I did not intend to hijack my own thread so please refer to Laurie`s latest and not this post.
