The luck of the draw and Alan Aerosmithee

I really liked that thread title, but here I am sitting on my ass all day with a nasty sinus infection with the entertainment of the Aerosmith marathon of VH1. I finally realize that they put up against the test of time by inserting themselves in the most successful pop culture situations over selling out their sound. Think about it: Run DMC, Janie's Got a Gun and the whole message shism, Alica Silverstone in their videos, and cementing themselves as "legends" by appearing on Wayne's World. Good measures to keep a career that might be running on low, although their latest album sucked shit. Can you think of any other bands that survive through the pop culture sea?

Well, David Bowie has always been the classic example of a style- surfing culture chameleon.

Pet Shop Boys. Seriously, where are their contemporaries today?

Are the Pet Shop Boys still alive?
