The only band I know on this list is Espers, so my immediate assumption is that this is gonna be Terrastock-like. What's the story on this?

Black Forest/Black Sea, Blithe Sons, Pelt and Loren Chasse are rockin like dokken. And I believe our very own R. Adultery has associations with Wooden Wand. But Wisconsin? $45? Hmm.

I know about some of these bands, if this'll help you out:

Matt Valentine and Erika Elder - used to be in Tower Recordings

> the Blithe Sons - Jewelled Antler guys

> Black Forest/Black Sea - I think this is the guy from Iditarod?

> Pelt - Great improv

> Jack Rose - is in Pelt, does great post-Takoma ragtime country blues

> Born Heller - new avant folk duo everyone is going crazy about - check today's edition of Pitchfork

> Christina Carter - of Charalambides

> Spires That in the Sunset Rise - Eclipse Records, like a cross between Angelblood and The Shaggs

Not sure about the rest. I hope this helps! Wish I was going!

This is correct-o-maphone; I seriously can't recommend these guys enough. Totally awesome. Cello & guitar & vocals & tape collage & weird electronics.

great post-Takoma ragtime country blues

Oooooh! Now I'm intrigued. There a web site for all this? Thanks for the follow-ups!
