rap blog people all suck, right? i think i've found cool ones and then it turns out the guy's from holland (i have my faults but i'm still on the right continent) or they saw jawns a lot and like mf doom and take krs-one seriously or they're old and they just write about living in minneapolis or whatever or they say at the top: where hiphop and libertarianism meet or they just suck really bad. but i don't really know any. so, tell me some ones that i would like.

"it turns out the guy's from holland (i have my faults but i'm still on the right continent)"

Aren't you, actually, on the same continent as Holland?

Scott CE (Scott CE), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Not liking Doom and KRS != not sucking?

djdee2005, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

haha that libertarianism site is pretty hilarious tho.

djdee2005, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

dk what do you want from a rap blog exactly?

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.hiphopmusic.com/

is like the best from where I stand. You prolly won't like it.

djdee2005, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

people writing about songs and albums, details of rapper arrests, lil kim upskirts, no old people, lots of swearing.

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

this one is not bad

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

but wait, that one seems to praise MF Doom, which should disqualify it.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

the post you linked to mentions mf doom AND uses the word "jawns"!

(xp)

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm not even sure who mf doom is.

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:17 (twenty-one years ago)

sweet.

Scott CE (Scott CE), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

i didn't mean to be so dismissive, really!

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

cocaine blunts is good because it has a lot of good, personal writing. it's bad because of all the boring news-y stuff that you can get on messageboards or wherever. that's what i'd like.

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I agree about the goodness of Cocaine Blunts.

djdee2005, Monday, 3 May 2004 22:12 (twenty-one years ago)

errrr, Spizazz?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i like this one (http://www.funkdigital.com/) but the fact that he uses the name Metalface must mean he likes MF Doom

oliver wangs is pretty good http://www.o-dub.com/weblog/weblog.html (i think he's shown up here a few times?)

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm pretty sure Oliver doesn't swear enough.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:31 (twenty-one years ago)

mine's not strictly hip hop, but I'm not a big fan of MF Doom, I'm from the states and live on the east coast, and i'm 21.

daziz, Monday, 3 May 2004 22:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:58 (twenty-one years ago)

http://gelandweave.blogspot.com

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:59 (twenty-one years ago)

A little short on lil kim upskirts that one, Jess.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:01 (twenty-one years ago)

lil kim upskirts

You could always just buy one of her CDs.

There need to be more blogs about 50 Cent's magic stick though, with illustrations.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Al (sitcom), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Al (sitcom), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

JaXoN (JasonD), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

i think that's a good idea! we still have time, if you know what i mean.

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

i like gelandweave but it's difficult to read and not serious enough.

hh, Monday, 3 May 2004 23:57 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah mullah is killing me with the total lack of caps or punctuation in there i mean i know it's his thing but it just gave me a headache

Al (sitcom), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 00:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Minneapolis is now the universal signifier for whackness, and deservedly so.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 00:41 (twenty-one years ago)

hh, Tuesday, 4 May 2004 04:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Am I not cool enough to be involved?

djdee2005, Tuesday, 4 May 2004 07:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I probably don't fucking swear enough but eh, whatta gonna do? I wouldn't even really call Pop Life a "hip-hop blog" since the majority of my postings have little to do with hip-hop music per se. Call me small-minded but I think having a dedicate hip-hop blog creates a funnel vision. I spend more time with fucking rap music than I probably should for my own sanity but it's hardly the only thing I think about and if I'm going to write out my thoughts in raw, unedited form, I want to rap on a lot more than rap.

Like William Hung for example. Holla!

Oliver Wang (Oliver Wang), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 07:16 (twenty-one years ago)

The guy who started this post is right. All of the rest of the so-called rap bloggers are either old or not from this country or, in some cases both.

This is the only rap blog worth reading on the Internet.

While not exactly hip-hop, this is the best review of Tiffany's Teenage Mall Hooker album that has ever been written.

Bocephus Alonzo Crawford, Jr., Tuesday, 4 May 2004 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

spizzazzz dawt com.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 10:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Al (sitcom), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Byron, Byron, Byron. You're a good kid. Don't force me to make an example out of you!

Everyone knows the name of the greatest rap blogger AND the greatest blog rapper.

"i like this one (http://www.funkdigital.com/) but the fact that he uses the name Metalface must mean he likes MF Doom"
-- JaXoN (jaso...)

Yeah I like Doom. And what of it. I stand up for my favs. As far as hip hop bloggers I say who gives a f*ck. Blogs don't mean jack in the grand scheme of the music, atleast not yet.

METALFACE (METALFACE), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

two months pass...
So that's how Government Names started, eh?

I love it so far.

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Thursday, 29 July 2004 03:17 (twenty-one years ago)
