i went on a screwed downloading rampage last night. a few thoughts

can someone please Screw the Kanye album so that the pitched up samples are back to normal speed??!!

also, please more dirty girls screwed so they sound like dudes. Khia's "My Neck My Back" sounds like the gay hip hop anthem.

and finally, i found an Al Green, a Keith Sweat, a Jodeci and a bunch of RKelly screwed. I love this. anyone know of other soul and rnb for me to search out. are there mixtapes out there of just slowjam type tracks or is it mostly hip hop with the random rn'b track thrown in?

there's a whole sub-thing of screwed r&b. straight to the room are fuck action (the two last ones have rappers on r&b beats, though) are the big ones, i think. but every dj has r&b screw mixes with dirty names.

there is a screwed version of the kanye album, too, if you're really interested. there are people who screw these things as soon as mp3s of them make it out.

i don't really like screwed r&b shit that much but when watts does his straight to da room thing on the radio he gets callers coming in over the songs and "sarah, you in the clover? who you wanna take straight to the room" with these girls all husky voiced into their phones "my boy rob. i know he's been wilding out but i want him to know that what we got is real"; melting.

does that mean most of this stuff is done digitally?

i always thought they jury-rigged turntables to play slower and doubled up on the records

nah not unless it's a major djs like watts or og ron c or whoever and you hear the skrrrch-skkkkchhh scratching noises. it's shareware sound editing programs for most of these guys. download, convert, slow, convert, upload/burn.

all of the suc forum nerds that know ever detail of every screw tape ever deride watts and all of the new cats as digital djs. dj screw ain't never used mp3s.
