'stop dave...stop...' 2001-sampling tune i.d.

it's from way back in the early 90's. u used to hear it a lot in indie clubs circa 93. it was like a kind of meat beat/pop will eat itself thing only better, and stop-started on the 'stop dave...stop...' HAL 9000 2001 sample. what the heck was it called?

SianSpheric had a remix EP that a track which heavily sampled 2001, the track was called "PlanetHAL" though I think it came out in like 2000/2001. But maybe the remix had been around for a while.

There was a song on a mid 90s Dave Angel album (Tales of the Unexpected?) with lots of Hal samples, but not the ones you mention unfortunately.

And it certainly didn't sound like pwei!

mark that's *clearly* not the one. that's got very low mumbled HAL, im talking HAL as the upfront loudest bit of a great kick-ass semi-party-anthem. not a new order b side!
