I am endlessly amused by that thread, mostly cuz no one identified my couplet as fake.

This reminds me of a Christmas song some friends and I wrote a couple years ago. There's obviously a big T.Rex influence but the music somehow ended up sounding like Neu!

Santa's Got Big Hair (channeled spirit of M. Bolan)

Santa's got big hair, riding his sleigh to Mars
Santa's got big hair, riding his sleigh to Mars
He's got a bag that's full of toys
And a sack full of silver guitars

He's got the alligator boots and a suit that's made of gold
He's got the alligator boots and a suit that's made of gold
He's trading in his sleigh
For a last chance to rock 'n' roll

(theremin solo)

He's got thunder in his cap and lightning in his beard of stars
He's got thunder in his cap and lightning in his beard of stars
Gonna mambo with his elves
Mashed potato in their motorcars

never mind Broheems, I was thinking of some fake lines I posted to a different T. Rex thread ("you smile so sleek with bones so fair you shine like a snare with a bear in your hair").

That Christmas song has me beat tho, that is THE GREATEST.

I feel obligated to reveal that I was one of those friends. And I sang it! ILM Productions!
