There's not thread of discussion on this album (although there is on "FILA" which is definitely great, as ww sez) so here's one. This album is wonderful. discuss.

Which one? I like 'Get On My Level' but that's about all i've heard by Trillville. The Twista remix is my favourite Twista remix.

scg, Sunday, 9 May 2004 07:44 (twenty-two years ago)

its actually the same album w/ two different covers (and 2 artists, trillville + lil scrappy, perform on the same album, split in half).

I think the Lil Scrappy half is prolly stronger.

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 08:04 (twenty-two years ago)

GOD DAMNIT NO MORE LIL' NAMES, JUST STOP IT PLEASE PLEASE

David Allen (David Allen), Sunday, 9 May 2004 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

GOD DAMNIT NO MORE 'DAVID' NAMES, I AM THE ONLY DAVID

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

It's Lil' David to you.

David Allen (David Allen), Sunday, 9 May 2004 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

There's a beat centered around the sound of squeaking rocking chair.

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

The LS stuff is stronger but it's very good indeed. "Head Bussa" is on the Fight Night 2004 soundtrack, my boxer is saving up to get it for his entrance music.

adam (adam), Sunday, 9 May 2004 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

haha what are the other songs you can choose from?

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I like it, but I generally get pretty bored by the time Trillville starts. "F.I.L.A" is a lot better than anything else on there.

C0L1N B3CK3TT (Colin Beckett), Sunday, 9 May 2004 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

LS bit is stronger and 'never eva' is probably the best track - better than the lil flip record, sadly.

scott pl. (scott pl.), Sunday, 9 May 2004 19:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think Neva Eva or Fila are definitively "the best tracks" on either part of the album...this thing is full of quality, pretty indisputably. I think LS's half works better simply because its more diverse in terms of mood - Trillville is pretty much a similar vibe for each song (although none of the songs are wack by any means.)

How great are "Be Real" and the bonus track?

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

haha what are the other songs you can choose from?

I-20, Puffy, Cee-Lo, MOP, etc etc. Some decent stuff, the best EA Sports soundtrack I've seen yet--though Madden 2004 had AFI and Tiger Woods inexplicably had DMX.

adam (adam), Sunday, 9 May 2004 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

GET AT ME TIGERRR!!!

djdee2005, Sunday, 9 May 2004 20:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't forget about "Get some crunk in yo system". i think that is 1 of the greatest songs on the album

Jacques Jordan Suttle, Friday, 2 June 2006 07:23 (twenty years ago)

jewess harvell (dubplatestyle), Friday, 2 June 2006 14:13 (twenty years ago)

it's not easy getting busy in a rocking chair!

jewess harvell (dubplatestyle), Friday, 2 June 2006 14:13 (twenty years ago)

Its still a good song, but its totally weird that it was the biggest hit from that album to me. It's so polite! Even with the bedsprings/rocking chair

deej.. (deej..), Friday, 2 June 2006 14:16 (twenty years ago)

it's not a rocking chair

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 2 June 2006 14:26 (twenty years ago)

scrappy's new album any good?

J0rdan S., Friday, 4 July 2008 18:15 (seventeen years ago)

howtf is there no mention of "No Problem" in this thread?

The Reverend, Saturday, 5 July 2008 08:38 (seventeen years ago)

major classic btw

The Reverend, Saturday, 5 July 2008 08:38 (seventeen years ago)

he was lyrical but a fool, like most rappers, til he got hit with a bottle. doesn't seem to be all there.... i really loved his lyrics, they were real heartfelt. tragedy, but you gotta be careful what you say and who you get with. ugly.

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:31 (seventeen years ago)

i used to jam to this tape, dancing like a motherfucker cuz how crunk it sounded. some of it was sort of wack but the music was some jams, and the scrap verses were so lyrical

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:32 (seventeen years ago)

that scrappy album was pretty excellent.

titchyschneiderMk2, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:33 (seventeen years ago)

remember that track he did with the game produced by nu jerzy devil?

what he said. momma hit me in the head with a bo, somethine i just wanned t kill myself n git th hell one" that whole verse was fire though, ppl should have respected him as an artist at least rather than taking him out the game like that, maybe talk and argue and try to show his faults to him, but i guess thats how miscommunication and false ideas of self fails

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:34 (seventeen years ago)

was his last album as much depth?? he seemed to just be gone from the interviews and singles/freestyles i saw. ppl can recover i guess but that was a brutal attack.

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:36 (seventeen years ago)

he had verse caliber to lil wayne but more forceful though it aint so 'fun', more poetic

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:37 (seventeen years ago)

trill vill got some hot tracks. i bet they were some clowns on the mic before they had to record actual songs, yellin dances, controllin crowds

usic, Saturday, 5 July 2008 11:39 (seventeen years ago)

at the store some clever clerk had put the price tag over the s so it said "lil crappy"

not really into what i've heard of this. i like real recognize real and the beat for t.i. gunz is cool. this albums a good argument against overusing "thick" digital synths

I'm watching Lil Jon's stream (as usual on a Saturday night) and he just revealed that the infamous bed squeak on the Some Cut beat was "just him rocking on a chair" 🤣🤣🤣
