I must say, I sometimes feel the same as young Mogq, but I never feel too intimidated (apart from the "How many records do you own" thread - I only own about 250 CDs and LPs which pales in comparison to some of you lot). I do enjoy visiting this site as despite the claim to be 'neurotic pop elitists' people do seem to quite fair and easy- going (certain affiliated blogs excepted, heh), and there seems to be a genuine love of music here which never seems to be tainted by needless snobbery and oneupmanship. And a good thing too.

Who cares about how many fucking records someone's got? I have a warehouse full of CD's, tapes, records, Super-8's, wax cylinders and so on...Most of it is rubbish as well. Bobbie Gillespie must have several hundred million obscure, yet superbly worthy and "cool" records, yet does that mean he shouldn't be killed? No. Still...Probably shot half of them into his arms by now..Baghead.

the middle ground is definitely somewhere else... i don't know enough, i talk shit in here on occassion, but everyone [bar tanya, obviously] is far too polite to mention it. gimme some normalish company, please!
