Any Thoughts On: The Book Of Knots

Anyone heard it? Nautical concept album? Tony Maimone? Jon Langford? Mekons-vs-Swans? I'm digging it. Tony Maimone and Norman Westberg rocking out together is my idea of fun. As nautical concept albums go, I think I'll take this over the Acker/Mekons record. I know absolutely nothing about Carla Kihlstedt of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum or Matthias Bossi of Skeleton Key who play a big part on the album. All I know is, Matthias Bossi sounds remarkably similiar to Jerry Yester on Farewell Aldebaran(!).

three years pass...

I haven't seen mention of The Book of Knots' 2007 album "Traineater" ANYWHERE!

Regardless of its guest stars (Tom Waits, Mike Watt, Jon Langford, etc.), I think it is at the very least an interesting, worthwhile project.

Anyone listen to this?

I liked the first one pretty well. The new one has some Carla Bozulich action which I try to never miss... is it out yet?

It was released (according to AMG) last March, and did not appear to get much attention.
