yah, i really want to know. i am thoroughly confused now. is freaky trigger a british online mag thing? but some of the AMG writers from here are american, right?

but most of you are british, correct? there is just too much fucking irony around here to actually tell. also, pardon my profound ignorance but please tell me:

*what,* exactly, is a "blog" ...it differs from a regular web-site, how ?

Vic, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I feel so dumb and vulnerable right now!!!

Vic, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

be kind and gentle, please!!

Vic, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Not British. Native New Yorker, but I did marry a British woman (from Surrey) just this past July.

Alex in NYC, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A blog. It's not really different than a regular website, it's just kind of an online journal I guess.

And I am not British, V :)

Ally, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

je suis angleterre

bob snoom, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm British. I started Freaky Trigger, but now Freaky Trigger is edited by Ned Raggett, who is an American. Confusingly and unintendedly, shortly after Ned (American) took over the Freaky Trigger site had to move to freakytrigger.co.uk (British).

Tom, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd say there are more non-British than British people on ILM, Vic.

Nick, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, I'm British, by the way.

Nick, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ich bin Deutscher. But I try to be cosmopolitan. And usually do not succeed.
Vic, thanks for the blog question. That gives me the opportunity to point to my weblog "sex & sunshine" which would love to welcome zillions of new visitors contributing to the forum. Just read the blog from the last post (today) to the first post (a day in June) and you should get an impression what a blog is.

alex in mainhattan, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

alos there are many australians, new zealanders and canadians: but they share our mighty reverence for her majesty the queen, so they are brits too, at heart

mark s, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Not british the last time I checked (cause it is one of those things one should check up on, at least once a week)...

Nicole, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole has always wanted to be British, for some reason.

Nick, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Just so I could be on the same island as Nick. Nic and Nick, talk about the perfect couple...

Nicole, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Red Booded American!

Lord Custos, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm actually from Aruba, living in The Netherlands. Confused? And while we're at it, here's my blog.

Alacrán, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Irish. Waterford to be precise.

David Gunnip, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm American. You mean they, like, have the internet in other countries too? ;)

DeRayMi, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm American, and JM is sometimes canadian when he drinks. We have a blog: named In Review.

Sterling Clover, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm British. I started Freaky Trigger, but now Freaky Trigger is edited by Ned Raggett, who is an American. Confusingly and unintendedly, shortly after Ned (American) took over the Freaky Trigger site had to move to freakytrigger.co.uk (British).

What Tom isn't telling is that secretly we're both Canadian.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I come from the USA. Like Walter Lure. And I live in Los Angeles.

Arthur, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, so do you! Hi, Vic, you vulnerable fuck! ;-)

Arthur, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

since everyone else is doing it: here's our blog: http://grblog.blogspot.com

we are UK but wish we weren't (i think) and here's our silly little 'zine: www.getretarded.com

rinsemusic, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am lamentably American. Sometimes, when Sterling drinks, he becomes very charming. I have a weblog with him here.

JM, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Let me point out that irony was invented by Alanis Morrissette, a Canadian.

Frank Kogan, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But sincerity was invented by Gerard Depardu, a frenchman.

Sterling Clover, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

...but now Freaky Trigger is edited by Ned Raggett, who is an American.

I'm not so sure about that... ;-)

I'm American, although I do attend the King and Queen's college in lovely Williamsburg, Virginia.

Clarke B., Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm not so sure about that... ;-)

BAH! More American than you, ya forelock-tugging Royalist colonial whatsit! ;-)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Last time I checked, I was Canadian.

cybele, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

tthey tell me i'm uastralian, but we're not letting boat people into our ocuntry right now, so i'm not too sure where that leabves my ancestry.

Geoff, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, I'd defend myself; however, I'm in a great rush to get to my job at the local smithy or some shit.

Clarke B., Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm actually offended that Elizabeth II's face is on my money.

Simon, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

ah, okkkkk. i think i am starting to understand now: a blog is just a diary-ish website and it's primary difference from being a regular "website," is that it's called a "blog." i can't believe how many of you succumbed to the lure of exhibitionism though, I never exactly said "show me your blogs!!" but thanks anyway, that was quite nice..the colorful ones were cute..

and so, i suppose there are lots of brit people on here, but not everyone is...cool, it's not like i'm anglophobic or anything. i most certainly do hate french people though.

Arthur - yes, I am in la-la land. where you be ? i'm in south central. and while i did say I'm "vulnerable," i am not so sure if i am a "vulnerable fuck," i've just been told that i'm a great fuck, and i've always (usually) satisfied myself so that's really all i can in this matter.

now, i would annoy everyone even more with similar newbie questions like "how old is everyone?!??" but considering the ridiculous amount of work i've blatantly been ignoring in the last 3 days days that i *should* get to now, i'll save it for later

Vic, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i do have to ask this though...Sterling Clover...that isn't your real name is it ?

just wondering since it sounds so uber-masculine, like it's your stage name or something or maybe you're a porn star.

Vic, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Some answers to your question

K-reg, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yah thats funny, iu just posted at the "introduce yourself" board to introduce myself too since you must be wondering who i am, but i doubt it will help you much...

as it didnt help me much as it was too long and i'm too lazy to skim all of it. i did skim some of it though, before, so thanks. i see that a lot of people come and go on this site, with just a core remaning steady regulars

Vic, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

American--Midwestern, even.

M. Matos, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm American. I have lived in Arkansas all my life. I feel like I should start some quirky cowboy band, you know keep it real and all. I also live in the "bible belt" which is horrible because I'm an atheist. I don't know why I told you all that, I guess I want pity (but I'm not going to get any, am I).

Living in Arkansas makes it hard to find interesting music.

Being from the south, I just want to say no one here talks like Britney Spears, she's making up that accent of hers.

Lindsey B, Wednesday, 7 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Bullshit. I have friends from Berkeley who talk like Brit. Everyone in America talks like her!

Sterling Clover, Thursday, 8 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't talk like her. It's like this valley girl versh of a southern accent - very disturbing.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 8 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes -- two most distinct US accents together. & also two accents which all cute blondes in the U.S. are expected to speak. Hollywood via Little Rock.
