Will Usher's bad choices ruin his career?

my name is Brittanny and I am a huge fan of Ushers but I think the choices he has been making lately might draw more attention to the media and therefor cause an uproar with the fans like myself and I just hav a feeling that something bad might happen. The wrong decisions he has made: cheating on Chilli by having an orgy along with Pdiddy and others at Pdiddy's house.(orgy-to have sexual intercourse with more than 1 person at the same time). Then he puts out the song Confessions on the radio but denies that that is why Chilli dumped him.(my personal opinion is that the song is tru and had something to do with their relationship or else what other reason would she dump him?) Also by putting Confessions out on the radio, the people who don't hav his cd are probaly the people who want to criticize him and if they hear the song , they will most likely start rumors. I feel that my sexy-cheatin'-man will become violated for his mistakes. If you are an Usher fan, please write me and give me your personal opinion on this topic and his decisions and if you think that it will effect your opinion of him or his world-wide fans' opinions. Thank You for your time - Peace up, A*Town Down

"violated for his mistakes"

Well, sure, if he's going to orgies with P.Diddy.

I think the fact that his head is far too small for his body will ruin his career.

I'd much rather read this than R. Hilburn agonizing over the latest tablets of stone hand-carved by Bono or Bruce.

Well Brittany-Anne I would say 'sex sells but infidelity sells even more' and that's just the nature of our times sadly. I think Usher has courted the mainstream from day one and he's always made it clear he wants to be as big as Michael Jackson and enjoy every minute of the limelight. Whatever happens I'm sure he will continue to make great music and please his many fans all over the world. Thanks for writing!

I will admit that my appreciation of Usher dropped once I heard "Confessions." Of the triangle he's describing he's the LEAST sympathetic of the three and he won't stop screaming "what about meeee?"

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Serious answer though: on past history, no. He's made lots of them before, weathered a fairly long absence from the limelight so he'll be fine. Despite the coconut head.

Thank you for defining your terms btw.

(orgy-to have sexual intercourse with more than 1 person at the same time)

LOVE it

When I invite ladies to have threesomes with me, they say "Don't you mean an orgy, lameass?" Fucking pedants.

Barima (Barima), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

the orgies at Puffy's house that he talks about in the Rolling Stone cover story took place like 10 years ago when Puffy was Usher's mentor.

Puffy Party.

Usher wants to court controversy. Kissing and telling worked great for Justin Timberlake, so Usher wants to follow suit. Like Steve said, if Usher's goal is to get as much of the limelight as possible (in whatever way possible), then he's on the right track right now.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought Jermaine Dupri was Usher's mentor!

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

VengaDan, are you still going to deny that Usher has a skeevier image now?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait... I'm unclear on this whole "orgy" thing. What is it exactly?

martin m. (mushrush), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Like, how can you have intercourse with more than one person at the same time if you are a guy?

martin m. (mushrush), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

All I will say is that Usher has never been a squeaky-clean performer to me and it baffles me that people thought he was (although I guess if you have that much of a babyface you can get away with stripping onstage when you're 17 and people will just think you're being cute rather than nasty).

Also, "flaming ass lasers"!!!!!!!!!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)
