Tips for blagging

Brian Wilson's playing here in July, and I really don't want to pay £50 for a ticket, being a poor student and all, so I thought I could try and blag a photopass/review type thing for my website. Actually does anyone know who does his regional press? I've been searching for ages, can't find any clues.

Anyway back to the original question, how high should a small zine aim in terms of things to blag? And what are the best ways of blagging? Any stories?
