Apart from David Sylvian maybe, the artist you can hardly mention to scare the hell out of people, is probably Gary Numan...any bleeps on the lonely robot?

Just bought Pleasure Principle, I think it's his first three albums that are always regarded as his best, but i really go for this kind of man-trapped-in-his-own-kraftworld, or am i just cathing up too late on this way of synthpop and is this dated before the pleasure finishes?

*Cars* is a classic, that's for sure

Is David Sylvian as uncool as Numan? Cuz I really love "Obscure Alternatives".

D'oh! Open goal missed there Erik/Sean: first response should have been "Nu (m)an-swers"

Search: Replicas [Are 'Friends'..., Down In The Park, You Are In My Vision, It Must Have Been Years (fantastic guitar solo on this one, fuck the bleeps'n'synths)]
Search: B-side of Complex 12" - live versions of Me! I Disconnect From You and Bombers that are ace

All of these + Cars = not dated at all = classic.

Hm, let's see, I've become a major fan in recent years. The original four albums are all near flawless, or so I think, but I also have to mention Dance, which I think is a surprisingly serene, meditative album and contains what is probably my favorite ever song by him, "Cry the Clock Said." The Living Ornaments 81 release that came out a couple of years back is one of the best live albums I've heard, and while after that things got distinctly patchy, Exile had its definite points.

Heard good things from a few people who saw him open for Ministry last weekend.
