Fallen in love with ‘Thought for Food’ again, just got some new speakers, makes a world of a difference with this sort of music.

Looking for some more electro acoustic stuff that isn’t for sleep/stoned time. I’ve tried a number of other artists on TomLab, but haven’t found anything quite like ‘The Books’. I quite liked what I’ve heard from Flim but I want something that’s more acoustic/organic sounding. Doesn’t necessarily have to be electronic music either, I can imagine a lot of Eastern music would satisfy this gap in my collection.

My soon-to-be-former housemate listens to this shit all the time. If his taste is any decent measure you should try Bright Eyes and Death Cab and Jimmy Eat World--sounds nothing like the Books but it all sucks. Oh, and that Sage Francis jackass.

März - Love streams.
More coherent than the books, but has the exact same warm atmosphere to me.

What the fuck have piss poor emo bands got to do stuff like 'The Books'? Get out of your own ass dude.

Yeh, I've heard some März on some comps people have made me, I'll have to check out a full length.

I think I just need to buy more Mouse on Mars.

I haven't heard The Books (though I've been meaning to check them out), but when you say "electro acoustic" it makes me think you may enjoy The Notwist - Neon Golden.
