Ergo, that is what they get. Heard it once and it sounds rather good. They now look like this:

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes yes yes but what's it called?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

'The Show'

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:54 (twenty-one years ago)

i like it. a bit gay-euro-house-sounding, but its a good pop-bopper.

dickvandyke (dickvandyke), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, good. Quite a relief.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Cannae find it on t'slsk.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Sunday, 30 May 2004 10:58 (twenty-one years ago)

dammit i will probably like this

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

they look hideous in that picture.

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:12 (twenty-one years ago)

they ARE hideous, of course.

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:13 (twenty-one years ago)

i wouldn't go that far. i don't understand why deep orange skin is always considered hot on pop girls tho.

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

they look like rotisserie chickens

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

they look okay to me.

I haven't heard this yet, but I did see a making of featurette on TOTP:Saturday. Am looking forward to hearing it.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

they need to get themselves off the tanning beds. its quite awful. i dont know whether to peel them or give them some heavy moisturising lotion. stay 'white' please girls.

that said, i would quite like to hear 3 members of the group aloud in a 'private' setting.

thesplooge (thesplooge), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

they're brit girls on holiday duh

de, Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd give Nadine one and then some!

CRW (CRW), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:19 (twenty-one years ago)

is there some island somewhere where girls all look like this? in my daily life i don't think i've seen a single one.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:19 (twenty-one years ago)

For that look, try Glasgow on a Friday night.

___ (___), Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:22 (twenty-one years ago)

any comparisms to deep-fried confectionary are unfair

Patrick Kinghorn, Sunday, 30 May 2004 12:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't like their new look - it's distressingly Atomic Kittens-ish.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Sunday, 30 May 2004 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

they look like rotisserie chickens

Strongo OTM.

Rockist Scientist (rockistscientist), Sunday, 30 May 2004 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

stay 'white' please girls

I think they've got into enough trouble already for their pro-white views.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Sunday, 30 May 2004 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I've only listened to it a few times, and remain unconvinced. That said, I was unconvinced by "No Good Advice" until I saw the video...

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 31 May 2004 01:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Who in their right mind would turn down the chance to share a hotel room with Nadine! Grrrrrr! She's a babe etc!

CRW (CRW), Monday, 31 May 2004 01:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Points for trying, Calumn, but ILM has to be a NICOLA IS BEST zone.

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 31 May 2004 01:11 (twenty-one years ago)

they look totally horrible! as usual. somebody please give their stylist a slap, from me

jeremy jordan (cruisy), Monday, 31 May 2004 08:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Edward, we are not turning into the Pop and Justice board.

Crickets Dance On Tequila Booty (Barima), Monday, 31 May 2004 08:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Fine, but liking Nadine the best is rockist. Would making ILM a haven of Sarah love be acceptable?

edward o (edwardo), Monday, 31 May 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

cheryl's the best looking one

adam west (adamwest), Monday, 31 May 2004 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

The single's not much cop, but on CD:UK on Saturday, you could see right up Nadine's skirt (due to pervy cameraman, and to the delight of the two guys I was watching it with) and her knickers were right up the crack of her arse. This was very amusing.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 31 May 2004 20:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently, this time she remembered her knickers.

Crickets Dance On Tequila Booty (Barima), Monday, 31 May 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

this single is brilliant

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 14 June 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Shit, does anyone have a tape of that CDUK recording? Damn, that must've been a good 'un!

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 14 June 2004 13:22 (twenty-one years ago)

best thing they've released imo, the first line makes me cringe a bit but the chorus is great along with the sound in general. B+ ladies.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 14 June 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

THEY ARE SO SEXY. I HOPE WE HAVE SEX.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 14 June 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

i've already said how much i like this. it's a corker of a track. tom was right when he was talking about rolls royce pop.

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Monday, 14 June 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it's a belter.

Not so sure about the follow-up, mind.

coco, Monday, 14 June 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

It is, as Mark P suggested, very like Rubicon.

the music for the "should I know" part is as cutting edge as any dance-pop I've heard all year, to be honest I've had a more visceral reaction to this than most other things I've heard lately, if not all. As in played it ten times in a row on download.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

according to winamp, i have played this track ten times in the three hours since i downloaded it

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:35 (twenty-one years ago)

not made the Rubicon connection yet, surely 'Jump' is closer to that?

stevem (blueski), Monday, 14 June 2004 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Not heard the single yet but saw two of them 'on the spot' or whatever that feature is called on TOTP Saturday. I was surprised at how gauche they were. It's as if they came off 'Pop Idol' (or whatever it was they won) yesterday rather than a year ago (or is it more?). You'd think they'd have become a bit more star-like by now. Strange. Not very appealing somehow.

David (David), Monday, 14 June 2004 16:00 (twenty-one years ago)

That is true, I agree, they are sort of anonymous. I think that might be kind of the robo-appeal though, I don't know. Mind you the video is good and quite stylish I thought, in a kitsch way anyway. Very 80s.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 14 June 2004 16:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i notice the rubicon connection strictly in the chorus. both tracks have the same galloping synth-as-lead guitar motif.

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 14 June 2004 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

btw i am going to be extremely rash and call this my single of the year so far.

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 14 June 2004 19:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I bet sharing a bed with all five of them would be fun!

C-Man (C-Man), Monday, 14 June 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...

piscesboy, Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that the Morley story? He and Swygart should get together sometime.

R.I.M.A. (Barima), Thursday, 22 July 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

He forgot about the horrors of being the subject in a C-Man thread.

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:16 (twenty-one years ago)

ha, i mentioned the Ministry Of Mayhem thing in the comments from Marcello's pop rant last week on FT
