I just found out that I can determine the exact date I downloaded each of my 7,000 MP3s, which means technically I can make a flowchart of the types of music I have gotten into!

How many CD's did you go out and buy as a consequence of listening to these MP3's?

Palomino (Palomino), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

surely you know the date the mp3s were downloaded just by viewing your Windows/Mac folders in 'View Details' mode.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:44 (twenty-one years ago)

altho it's Date Modified isn't it? so if you change the filename it will show the date and time at the point of change.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:44 (twenty-one years ago)

jon just because you have no sense of humour doesn't mean others aren't capable of getting a joke

the surface noise made by people (electricsound), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't believe you said "tosser", surely too English.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I just don't like British music.

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

gareth texted me last week saying "download vision creation newsun by the boredoms, no questions, just do it!" btw

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

(Did you? It is the best summer album ever.)

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't find it on slsk. I will though. He says it's very dancey, in a way.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)

someone texted me saying 'Max Sedgley Happy vs Fix Up Look Sharp. has to be done.' - i don't know who it was

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I just don't like British music.

except Underworld?

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not sure how I feel about Underworld. I do like Warp records crap for that matter, but I really am not enthralled with any current British music (or UKian for that matter) at the moment. I listened to I LOVE PONEY this morning.

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you like it? It's about the pain of fairground poneys.

I'm seeing him Thursday night.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Dizzee is quite good, but not my thing, I suppose.

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

oh shit I forgot "I Love Poney" was that bootleg. try and get the original Poney EP, by Vitalic, without any vocals over stuff.

I like Dizzee but you might prefer the music minus his vocals.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 13:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I liked the Dizzee song too; I downloaded the album. I don't know much about Vitalic though.

Be sure to Loop! Loop, Loop, Loop. (ex machina), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

download La Rock 01, I guess if you don't like that then don't bother with his stuff.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

How many CD's did you go out and buy as a consequence of listening to these MP3's?
-- Palomino (fergal...), June 1st, 2004.

I haven't been able to find most of these albums at my local Best Buy or Wal Mart. There used to be a Harmony House around me that would have them, but they went out of business. I sometimes find stuff I like at record store downtown, but I buy those used.

David Allen (David Allen), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i had a dream about VCN the other night, it was the most beautiful music i'd ever heard (even better than the actual VCN, which i like lots)(and can't quite see being ronan's steez but you never know)

Snidely Assman -- R.I.A.A. security division (donut), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

i have kept the first mp3 ive ever downloaded over the course of 2 or 3 different computers and its retained its date. first, let me say im 17, so this certainly doesnt reflect my taste now. but it was rancid - roots radicals. 12/23/99. jesus. i keep it as a souvenir.

tom cleveland (tom cleveland), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)
