2. Wilco, "Being There" ("Outtasite [Outta Mind")
3. Wilco, "Summerteeth" ("A Shot in the Arm")
4. Jesus and Mary Chain, "Honey's Dead" ("Reverance")

...although, now that I think about it, it may just be that they put the same song on there twice (been a long time since I've listened to Locust Abortion Technician)

Graeme, I think that one of them is really, really slow. It maybe the same recording though, just slowed the f down. I haven't listened to that album in years either.

17. Tom Waits' Franks Wild Years has two pairs: "Straight to the Top", without suffix and (Vegas), and "Innocent When You Dream", (Barroom) and (78).

Marillion's Misplaced Childhood is sorta the reverse, and so doesn't get a number; it has two different songs ("Lavender" and "Blue Angel") using the same backing.

32. Matthew Sweet's Altered Beast contains both "Ugly Truth" (with Vassar Clements on fiddle) and "Ugly Truth Rock", replacing the fiddle with wah-wah guitar.

Butthole Surfers did two versions of "Creep In The Cellar" on Rembrandt Pussyhorse, but one of 'em may just be a remix, so I'm not sure. And as regards the earlier Surfers track, I believe both "Graveyards" have completely different vocals in addition to different speeds. But again, I'm not positive.

I'm assuming multi-artist collections like "Best of Louie Louie" are ineligible here.

It's a lot of Ray Liotta samples by the end. Technically I guess they are all in relatively the same style though.
