Mikes for concert recording (w/ minidisc)

I'm a poor student living in the UK, so i can't spend that much! But i want a decent enough mike to make recordings of concerts this summer. In the past i've used a MZ-N1 Minidisc recorder and really any mike going - from a computer one to actually using the headphones themselves!

I'm attending a show in London tonight, so additionally if anyone knows a good shop (in london) to obtain this wonderful-cheap mike then that would be appreciated too!

The Sony ECM-MS907 pictured below works well.

costs about $100 US dollars.
I usually prop it up by the mixing board, but if you're mobile, you could probably stick it in your pocket. Clothes rustle is always an issue, though, esp. with clip-on mics.

Do you think if i ask the soundboard guy atleast @ smaller venues they will let me record from the soundboard output onto minidisc? Or does that only work with DATs?

Ditto on the ECM-MS907. Best one in its price range.

xpost:
If the soundguy & band don't mind, you might be able to run a line from the board's stereo rca or 1/4" out to your stereo miniplug line in jack. Best to bring an rca to miniplug cord and a pair of rca-to-1/4" adapters. The mini-disc's automatic recording level set should take care of the rest.

Or you could run a line out of a headphone jack: bring a 1/4" stereo to rca stereo adapter as well.

Well, I hadn't thought about it much, but I guess I am for concert recording (w/minidisc). More or less.
