really, im only interested in the very beginnings of this, when it crossed over, and their own scene started (i think it kind of went nowhere because the hardtrance/techno scene was so strong and vibrant at that time)

Anything on the Chrome label - lots of v dark / crazy stuff coming out at the same time as all the classic no u turn stuff. i.e. c96

main bloke was called panacea - he had an album called 'low profile darkness' i think

what about stuff from 94? i think there was some stuff coming out of germany towards the end of 94, but, i dont really know what it was

has anyone heard the marc acardipane/pcp jungle tracks? they are kind of funny, i'll try mp3 them up. he also did a spiritual combat 12 on r&s, which is kind of like a vaguely junglist plastic dreams, and isnt bad

has there been a junglist rerub of plastic dreams? shurely, they're always looking for new vamps.

funnily enough i was listening to a swedish jungle comp earlier (jungle II trance on fluid records 1995). pretty meh...but the later stuff from sweden like on the monolithic minds comps is actually pretty grebt.

"jungle trance" as a concept sounds awful

stevem (blueski), Friday, 4 June 2004 11:11 (twenty years ago) link

jungle trance = John B no?

stevem (blueski), Friday, 4 June 2004 11:12 (twenty years ago) link
