i know i'm about two years late with this question but does anyone have the tracklisting to this? i've tried the BBC's website but "an error occurred while processing this directive" and it's driving me kerrazy

the first song is probably my favorite song in the world right now, and there are tons of body-movin soul jams on there that i'd like to know the name of

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 6 June 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Sunday, 6 June 2004 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

dude i've got it on like three different media, CD, computer, and minidisc!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 6 June 2004 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, but did you track down CDs or .mp3s of each track, unmixed??? hmm???

The Quantic, Ark and Asheru and Blu Black tracks are amazing.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Sunday, 6 June 2004 17:55 (twenty-one years ago)

nine years pass...

I was searching for 'Mr Scruff' on the search function and WOW, early ilx sure liked Mr Scruff. Does he still have a following on ilx, I thought people tended to look down on him as 'student dance'. (all the Mr Scruff stuff I've heard I have not found interesting, but I've not really heard very much)

soref, Saturday, 1 March 2014 09:08 (twelve years ago)

Don't think I've heard him for years but pretty unbearably irritating iirc.

oppet, Saturday, 1 March 2014 10:20 (twelve years ago)

I was wondering if he was maybe a stepping stone on some people journey from indie kid to dance music fan? I'm mainly aware of him from his posters seeming to be everywhere in manchester city centre

when I was 15 I nearly did my two weeks national curriculum work experience at Mark Rae's Grand Central Records because my Dad sort of knew him, but it fell through and I ended up doing my work experience in the office of St. Helens council that administered the work experience programme, sometimes I have Maud Muller style regrets about how I could have become a nepotism enabled low level music industry hanger on if I'd played my cards right

soref, Saturday, 1 March 2014 11:18 (twelve years ago)

also I ended up in the postroom on the postroom guy's last day in work before he left to do a degree and I accidentally broke the letter franking machine about 10 minutes before the end of his shift, this always comes to mind whenever I think about Mr Scruff or Rae & Christian

Mr Scruff is a fucking genius.

Lemon Jelly seemed to popular on ilx around the same time, but all of the more recent references to them are disparaging
