(sigh) Is there any way to transfer a Realplayer video file from Punkcast to audio (mp3?) so I can burn it onto a CD?

You need Total Recorder, bud. Easily found on Ssk / Kazaa. It works by recording all the sound from your pc so just do that, save it as a wav then convert to an mp3.

if your soundcard isnt old and shit you can record the audio from your computer (with a program like cooledit or goldwave) and then convert the wav to mp3 with any mp3 encoder.

never used this total recorder thing, but if it does what affectian says its meant to do, thats easier than what i said. same concept though. and i think this total recorder would still require your sound card not to be old and shite.

sounds like a bit too much work. besides, i don't think i have the HD space to download any more programs. I was hoping there was a way to "save as" and bypass the realplayer thing and just save it as an mp3...

two weeks pass...
joly from punkcast here - total recorder is the way to go, and it will save directly to mp3. Prob is, i think there's a time limit on the demo, so you'll have to reg (very cheap) or find a crack.. i think i might hjave seen a real plug-in for nero, too, but i've not tried it.

generally i try to leave audio business to the bands in question.
Recently I have been issuing vcd's of the punkcasts, and have heard of people playing them back with the tv turned off (gasp) thus depriving themselves of my wonderful camerawork, but hey, that's their loss :0
