Hey Tom,

You do realize that your longwinded pitch above sounds too much like an infomercial or a get rich quick scheme to be taken seriously, don't you? I'm a serious musician who has even been paid in the past, and I'd never ever respond to anything like what you've posted above.

Swearing is fairly normal on this message board, and if I may say so, most of the members show considerable discretion when doing so. Most of us also don't appreciate spam, which is essentially what your post is.

So eat a fat bag of dicks, Tom.

Love,
Martin.

Hm. Someone with the ability to mass mail ought to reply to traklink.london@sympatico.ca and see how many messages it takes to plug his queue or bring down his mail server.

Just thinking aloud here.

Come to think of it, he actually registered and logged in, so he's probably harvesting email addresses or something while he's here. Perhaps I should change mine...

Mine's a dummy account. I made the mistake of using my real email when I signed up here however many years ago. The spam is only now beginning to die down.

Yeah I know how to do that. Just never bothered. Spam really isn't a problem for me, and I've been using the same email on ILX the whole time I've been here.

Might be time for a change anyway. Could be fun to set up an account to use here and then monitor how much spam it gets to see how big the threat actually is.

martin m. (mushrush), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

If street-teaming actually benefitted me monetarily, I'd do that shit.

I wonder if he's selling musicians into sexual slavery? "Paid in a myriad of ways" certainly has my imagination racing.

the music mole (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmm, "myriad of ways" seems to suggest "other than actual money".

Carpets! Front Doors! Bling!

(Actually, that seems to suggest exporting to countries with non-negociable currencies...)
