So, who will come out of this steel cage match with a complete set of teeth? Khan, Khan, Khan or "Khan"?

Oh Lord Custos,

I say Louis Kahn every time.

Mickey Black Eyes, Wednesday, 14 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is that the politician, or the one that makes hot dogs out of processed Turkey meat?

Let's see...

Praga Khan = cheesy techno that lost its sharpness around '92 or so
Chaka Khan = funk/disco goddess
Genghis Khan = mercenary ruler played by John Wayne in notoriously hideous 1956 film The Conqueror
"Khan" = white-suited, granter of O. Henry-esque fantasies

I'd have to go with Chaka. She can outshout 'em all.

That's the architect who did, among other things, the gorgeous Kimbell Museum in Dallas.

Botany Bay? OH NO!

DG, Wednesday, 14 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Praga and Genghis kill each other while Ricardo puts the moves on Chaka. Chaka lets Ricardo rock her, but it's all a trick....she takes advantage of his weak post coital state to chop off his head.

Chaka stands victorious holding Montalban's head by his silvery mullet-like locks!

Yeeee, Dallas, Fort Worth, whatever, it's basically the same to any non-Dallas dweller. All I know is, that and the fab concert hall were the only two things I remember about my visit, besides the fascinatingly crass and crassly fascinating Medieval Times, which my snobbish travel companions wouldn't let me explore. Salk Institue is great, as is that tragic Bangladeshi thing that he worked on forever-- incidentally, there's a brief little article about L. Kahn in this week's New Yorker.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.
