At the beginning of the first track of Change, you are onto something (I noticed it too, first time through). But I think it goes away quickly.

When I saw them play songs from the not-yet-released-then Change, they reminded me of Gowan in a weird but good way. The DP are one of the best live bands I've seen but I still don't see how people can get that worked up over Emergency & I. It's good but not great.
