Is it true that that bird from Evanesence (Sarah right?) keeps losing her boyfriends because she has bad breath, wears the same underwear for days on end and doesn't flush the toilet?

Cos if this is true she might want to sort it out. These rumours had to come from somewhere and so they must have some truth!

But you know you want to, C-Man. Where does it lead? What will it show you? Hmmmmm, what riches of bunton-ness will be offered beyond that link?

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Is it possible to use the word "bird" when referring to a female and not sound like a total ass?

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm feeling very cosmic

benito mussolinington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I, for one, am home alone this week! I've got The Real Cancun on t.v. and I am roasting b-b-q chicken and the beers will soon be calling me to play something really loud and obnoxious.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Look, I heard this rumour and posted this thread for some intelligent feedback. I am disappointed and shocked that no one can give me feedback on this.

on second though i just edited it

benito mussolinington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:51 (twenty-one years ago)

benito, you should start one of those hand-wringing meta threads a la ILE and ask why we post here. I feel like ILM is missing out on all the self-flagellation going on over there.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:54 (twenty-one years ago)

ile is confusing.

benito mussolinington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:55 (twenty-one years ago)

They should stick to TS: Salty Snacks -vs- REALLY Salty Snacks!!! threads.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:58 (twenty-one years ago)

The reason you post is simple. My threads are sexy and funny. How can anyone resist them?

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:05 (twenty-one years ago)

did you hear about that girl at you high school that got a frozen stuck...you know...up there?

tom cleveland (tom cleveland), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:06 (twenty-one years ago)

"The reason you post is simple. My threads are sexy and funny. How can anyone resist them?"

Things is, dude, cuntbasket, you're not the most annoying man in
the world, the stupidest, the worst, the vilest spammer, anything like that...
you're merely the most boring.

You are The Most Boring Man in The World.

Can you live with that?

..., Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Yup. So you going to stop wasting your life posting on my threads and tracking back links and whining about the threads? Hey, if I'm so boring I must be pretty easy for you to ignore right?

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:17 (twenty-one years ago)

haha he's got you there dude

benito mussolinington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:18 (twenty-one years ago)

C-Man, I dig you, and no offense, but you've got a lot of hard work ahead of you to beat this fucking madness:

http://ilx.wh3rd.net/newanswers.php?board=86

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:20 (twenty-one years ago)

well i think it was a potentially good question if not sexy or funny. but her name is not Sarah Right, it's Amy Lee and I suspect the reason she may lose boyfriends tends to stem from the fact she is the icon of a successful rock band with hectic recording and touring schedules plus a protective management team so would be difficult to maintain a relationship with anyone. i'm sure a woman as beautiful as her is very particular about her hygiene habits as well.

this reminded me a bit of that thread a month or two ago about Usher's sex life. that was fantastic.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Scott - what the hell happened to that board? That is crazy.

Amy Lee. Ah right. I see. I like that song they did, "Wake me up inside" - that one. Dunno why. Probably because it played non stop when I was in LA (this is maybe why Ned is insane) and eventually it stuck in my head. I can't ever say I like that song though, because people generally laugh at me, except this 19 year old I sort of know who only likes this kind of stuff and AC/DC. I tell him he should buy some Smiths CDs.

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:26 (twenty-one years ago)

when i first heard that song i thought it was truly horrible. then i realised it was essentially a bit like something by Senser only somehow twice as weak yet twice as strong all at once. eventually i thought it was okay. i am a bit interested in what will happen to Lee.

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

You should just listen to The Gathering anyway. They did/do the goth/metal/hardrock/pop thing so much better than Evanescence.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm afraid I will never, ever, ever go within a ten mile radius of anything remotely goth. I find goths kinda funny. They give people who like Dario Argento films a bad name too. I like Argento movies but damned if Goblin will ever be near my CD player.

I'm listening to Talkie Walkie by Air just now and I think Cherry Blossom Girl is the best song this year.

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:35 (twenty-one years ago)

you would like the video

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Yer crazy. The soundtrack to Suspiria is a work of genius.

scott seward (scott seward), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 01:57 (twenty-one years ago)

It works with the film, but without the visuals it's just goth-rock.

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Grody!

James Slone (Freon Trotsky), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 02:05 (twenty-one years ago)

It works with the film, but without the visuals it's just goth-rock.

another for the "what's wrong with calum" list.

el sabor de gene (yournullfame), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I heard that one of her boyfriends was Nicky Wire, but that he dropped her because he didn't like his banana suit, rather than any hygeine-related issues.

Sasha (sgh), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 06:55 (twenty-one years ago)

again, the only reason why i find you truly offensive is when you shit on goblim, c-man. the movies are shite (except the early thrillers) the soundtracks are untouchable. i only own argento movies on dvd because of the soundtracks.

doomie x, Tuesday, 29 June 2004 07:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Then you can't have an aesthetic appreciation of cinema if you don't like Argento. It's all in the style and no one makes horror with more beauty.

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

You come from differnt directions, and do not meet by five centimetres.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:28 (twenty-one years ago)

If you don't like (director x) you can't have an aesthetic appreciation of cinema? Oh, rubbish calum.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh true Norm. His best films are far too visually accomplished to dismiss as pure rubbish. I rate Argento as high as any other great Italian director.

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

He's as rubbish as any other overrated Italian director

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:24 (twenty-one years ago)

He's not as good as Roberto Benigni or Andrea Silenzi.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway, talking of goth girls, I caught a late night bus last night, the 393, and the driver was a smiley Goth girl, most peculiar

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:31 (twenty-one years ago)

doomie, can you mail me at normanfay(at)btconnect(dot)com? I should have something to mail to you by tonight

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:34 (twenty-one years ago)

o.k. will do norman and am looking forward to it...

argento is nothing without goblin/morricone/emerson soundtracks. one needs to look no further than his gruesomely bad phantom of the opera remake.

doomie x, Tuesday, 29 June 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

He's not as good as Roberto Benigni or Andrea Silenzi.
-- Dom Passantino (juror...), June 29th, 2004.

In his prime he most certainly was (and much better in fact). Check out Bird with the Crystal Plumage (69) through to Tenebrae (82) and then his final masterpiece Opera in 87.

Phantom of the Opera is indeed crap, but Argento had none of the aforementioned composers on 87's Opera and that movie is a masterpiece. Argento has gone rubbish for reasons known only to himself. Creative burnout maybe?

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Silenzi's work on Forresti Di Nottz around 1997 though was a beauty. Reminiscent of Van Hoojdonk's finest work.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 12:33 (twenty-one years ago)

LOL (note: I was referring to Benigni with the above)

C-Man (C-Man), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 12:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Argento's fitness levels have dropped dramatically and he's one of those directors who needs to be fit to perform well

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 12:45 (twenty-one years ago)
