Alex, I always wondered that too. And then, my senior year of college, I was writing a research paper on Mark Twain and came across a character in Life on the Mississippi named "Jimmy Finn." If I remember correctly, young Samuel Clemens gives Jimmy Finn a pack of matches while Finn is in prison. Later that night, Finn lights his bed on fire and perishes in the flames. (You might want to check on that to -- it was a year ago and I may have forgotten what exactly happened...)

Not sure if Hollis was at all aware of that story, but the guy's name is Jimmy Finn..........

I hear Debussy is coming back from the dead to soundtrack a Friends reunion movie.

I wonder if Mark is pissed that the music he created for the movie he was inspired by, is actually being used on a Kelsey Grammer show.

I'd be very surprised if that change hadn't been approved by Hollis.

I can imagine "sigh I guess" being the official approval.

I got a feeling Mark Hollis is a guy with some dark secrets.

I wonder if anyone ever told him that movie never got made?"

Just saw the review for a bio of Talk Talk in Mojo yesterday. Might be an interesting read. Probably be about as close as an in on Mark Hollis as you'd get?
