amazing - so much to digest - wish I'd been able to listen all weekend

the archives will keep us busy for a while
hope they leave them up as long as possible!

and what's the verdict on the listeners-voted Top 20 All Time best garage tunes?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/events/xtra_garage/chart.shtml

a bizarro assortment reflecting the motley history of the convergent/divergent genre

imagine playing this lot for someone unfamiliar with UKG -
I mean there's definitely some gooduns in there,
but they'd probably be baffled at how some of these tunes relate to each other within a continuum
then again, this covers 8 years development

what are the biggest surprise inclusions and most glaring absences?

Paul (scifisoul), Monday, 19 July 2004 12:02 (twenty-one years ago)

the best thing about it was Cameo and Jay Da winding each other up in the studio. too funny.

the list highlights the splits and diversity within what people call garage in 2004.

bless you all!

martin i'd be amazed if someone didn't mp3 this and put it on the garage hub - i won't be in london until august, but when i'm back home i'll have a look for it.
