I'm surprised no-one's posted about it yet. I think it may be the best album from the DFA-affiliated lot yet. Reminds me of XTRMN8R in parts but nowhere near as hammy. It's not as schizo or unfocused as Echoes was and it's not as clattery as !!!. The songwriting has improved since Gotham and it's more full-on dance than either of them esp. 'Party Crashers', which is one of the best tracks I've heard all year.

I like it too, especially "Fra Type I and II, ""Transmission" and "Absolute Affirmation".

"No Reaction" (sounds like INXS!) and the reggae track "Nation" are good 'uns too. The album seems sort of samey at first but I think they've got their own sound down now whereas they were quite derivative.

I can't remember which track, but the guitar part in one of them reminds me of "Big Country."

I don't think it is DFA affiliated. Single utter pants, I'm afraid.

English producer for this one, no DFA indeed

It's the soundtrack to a car commercial in the states.

The one track I heard from the new album was terrible.

I think the track I heard was "Give Me All Your Money."

Utter crap. How the mighty(?) have fallen.

Wait for new Interpol and (maybe) the Faint instead.

two months pass...
It's a bit long and kinda faceless, but I'm really enjoying this album. It's like elements of bands I can never wholly get into (stuff like Underworld, Happy Mondays, Rapture) all wrapped up into one accessible dance party.
