is this the true successor to deserter's songs?

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

No, because it's better than that. I'm just typing up my review now, for going up tomorrow on Stylus.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

so then why isn't anybody talking about it?

listening to wayward song right now.. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:28 (twenty-one years ago)

i tried and failed. my nme review next week gave it 10/10.

doomie x, Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Because it's not that great, either, just very good. I dunno. It's a record I'd rather listen to than talk about, hence the review is not easy.

x-post - I'm giving it 7. Doomie, are those yr sleevenotes then?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

me no understand question.

doomie x, Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

The sleevenotes in the album sleeve, I wondered if they were by you. I don't know your real name, but it seemed to make sense that they'd be by you.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

is this album coming out in the US? neo-allmusic doesn't even have an entry for it.

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

me saying nothing.

great record.

micah p hinson's record is great as well and produced by the earlies. nice fellow. just sent in my interview. type in his name and you can download one of his tracks.

it's out on names records, cutty. not sure but they are signed with bmg publishing so more than likely it will get a major label release eventually. i heard that warners were going to do it.

track down the collection of 7" singles fast btw.

doomie x, Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, I tried to look 'em up on there today and the fucker crashed my work PC.

Names is under 679 which is under WEA. The Jewel case has the embossed W in the bottom corner.

I used to have a recurring dream about a scrapyard that melted.

*hugs* to PT.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

It is indeed a very nice record. It reminds me in spots of Another Green World somehow.

I'd sure love to get my hands on the radio session cover of "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" they recorded recently though.

Iggy Bliss, Tuesday, 20 July 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

i love what i've heard. slightly disappointed that so many of the tracks are from the singles but happy to have them on CD now.

Yeah, I'm slowly getting properly into that.

Are you going to the Green Man this year perchance?
