As a paper umbrella is to a frozen cocktail, so is Jimmy Buffett to Billboard's album chart. You can say that he's irritating, silly, tacky, disposable, and pointless, but there he is: standing proudly atop that sweet, sweet lump of intoxicating syrup that is American popular music.

Yes, License to Chill, Buffet's collection of collaborations with Today's! Hottest! Country! Artists! has debuted at number one.

Maybe this ain't your kind of bar, but it's the kind of bar we're in. Do you want another round, or will the next sip make you puke?

how do you pronounce his name?

i was in a border's not long ago and over the PA someone pronounced it "buff-ay" which sounded odd to my ears.
