Should I go and see Plaid live?

They're having a gig at the Koneisto electronic music festival back here in Helsinki. I used to dig their old Black Dog tracks, but I don't own any Plaid records. I have heard some of their tracks, which sound nice, but not mind-blowing. Has anyone seen Plaid live?

Yes. They are okay (much harder sounding definitely.) I wouldn't go again.

if they use the wonderful visuals they did at glasto then yes, definitely - otherwise they can be a bit lacklustre live, and that's coming from a massive fan.

I've always enjoyed them, although if you're not surrounded by other dancing fools it can feel very cold and lonely. But if you're going to the festival anyway then yeah, go (unless it's one of them festivals where everything is individually ticketed)
