I just heard Har Mar Superstar for the first time the other day and it's even worse than I imagined.

"Love Jam No. 1" is genius.

Don't count him out yet. I just saw him in the park last week with a live backing band (John Fields, Michael Bland) and he was a gazillion times better as a singer than I've ever seen him. He's mostly a live phenomenon, but I wouldn't be surprised if his next album is good...

The first album is truly dreadful. It must be, because I'm normally a total sucker for gimmicky pervy electroclash and if even I hate it...

I like the first album better than the second. I'd be much more excited about a new Sean Na Na album than a new Har Mar album.

I saw him at the Siren festival last week, and his voice seemed shot. He was much better back in Minnesnowta.

His live shows in L.A. have usually inspired some pretty good parties.

The three songs I've heard off the new album sound really good. And I've never liked him before.

i dunno.. i kinda dig 'im. especially "no chorus" on the one with the pink and white cover... he's also really nice as a guy outta costume

Fucking hell man, you should HEAR the new one. I played it the whole way through and I think a little gallon of vomit came into my mouth.

To think that just days before I'd concluded that no-one would make a worse album than the Mooney Suzuki this year.
