i say not quite classic (though very close) but pretty damn addictive and brilliant. not sure how this will do in the charts (the NME slated it), seeing as its all sung in punjabi, but theyre two really nifty songs (the second one is amazing), so fingers crossed tjinder will have a hit on his hands.

Bubbley Kaur. bought this lunchtime and am listening as i type. is very poppy, stuff i'd like to hear coming out of random radios (ie getting daytime playlisting)

Most of my favorite Cornershop moments have been when they've gone shamelessly poppy (esp. "Good Shit"), so I'm guessing I may likey this.

I really hated the cheesy discount funk production on the last one, is this any better?

youre right about the production, i still liked it though, when the girl began to sing. i have idyllic images of her in my head.

Did you buy this recently then ? I got the original single last year but then it was reviewed in the guardian a few weeks ago so I assumed it was being reissued but haven't seen it anywhere. And, yes, it's a great single and deserves to be a hit. Cornershop should be huge ! Let's start a petition.

i was a bit pissed off the single didnt do better. i thought it was one of the best singles of the past year.

They put out a great one in '09. That was after a seven year gap - this is less than two.

Yeah no but this is the Bubbley Kaur thing, of which the single came out in 04 (see thread title)...

I think a LOT of people completely missed that record's release (and it was great!).

It was good! Looking forward to finding the album in a discount rack in seven years.

It's a great album. Perfect length too. 10 tracks in 35 minutes. I've played it tons over the last few weeks. They really are a very reliable album band.
