Ok, here are the rules:

1) post your email in a semi obfuscated format:

"jonathan periodcharacter williams atsign gmail d0t com"

2) be patient

3) make sure your email provider likes big attachments

I don't have any albums in my GMail box yet, but I have some MP3s (from NYLPM's Square Table) - J0n, you want some hott Usher & Rachel Stevens tracks?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 12:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I have no idea what you're talking about but I think I like Usher. He does the "Yeah" song right? That shit rules.

Whiskeytown Littlecock (ex machina), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 12:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, golly gee whiz, I just assume EVERYONE knows about NYLPM - my bad. You got Usher right, though. I won't be able to do any GMailing until this evening, though. (It's a damn shame, it is.)

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 12:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Um, I've got a song Tom Waits did on a Teddy Pendergrass album. It's good. That's about it.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

uh, hang on - is this the GMail that I have? Like, the email system. How do i turn it into a filesharing network? I wouldn't mind a tom waits song.

dog latin (dog latin), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 13:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Whiskeytown Littlecock (ex machina), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 13:23 (twenty-one years ago)

If anyone wants something from me, describe in a dozen words or so what that would be. If I don't have it, I'll still try to match the request.

This must be really stupid but how do you actually send something using gmail? whenever I try to attach a big file and send it (say a one-hour mix), gmail tells me "the attached document contains no data". What am I doing wrong here?

Baaderonixx chez les Belges (Fabfunk), Friday, 15 July 2005 08:14 (twenty years ago)

it's timing out. i believe there's a cap on how big a file you can send.

the urban heat island effect (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 15 July 2005 10:00 (twenty years ago)

Awright, this is a long long longshot but I'm looking for This Is It: Greater Buffalo's Greatest 1977-1984. Anyone?

the urban heat island effect (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 15 July 2005 10:03 (twenty years ago)

the thing is that I get this message straight away before it starts uploading. The file I'm trying to send is 70mb, which is not that big.

Baaderonixx chez les Belges (Fabfunk), Friday, 15 July 2005 11:04 (twenty years ago)

I think gmail can only take it up to 10MB.

ana (ana), Friday, 15 July 2005 11:08 (twenty years ago)
