so i've been buying lots of nu skool breaks and west coast breaks and florida breaks mixes lately (because i'm a pervert) and AV8 stuff pops out all over these things. especially crooklyn clan, who i'm really into.

also i remember buying a compilation years and years ago called Shoot Tha Pump (idiotic title, i think) and finding it too raw and dirty and returning it and buying some ninja tunes albums instead. it had nas' "halftime" on it and the good crooklyn clan tracks of the time and a bunch of other NYC (?) bootleg/cutup tracks waaaay before bootlegging was the meme it is today. i wish i still had a copy of it...

tell me about other stuff. dj LBR?? pirates of the caribbean? is there a good compilation of these tracks anywhere?? why did van helden do "sampleslaya" instead of an AV8 comp?? are these tracks legit? sample clearance and all that?

I see this as import car show stuff, no? Beats diggable but in reference to nu-skool/florida/west coast...no way. Isn't Madame Mercury's new mix a lot better at these tings? And she can still rock a car show if she wants.
