In "Escape", why does the narrator take out an advert to respond to the original advert, rather than contact the PO box advert presumably printed at the bottom of said original advert?

Oh, but "Escape" is really ropey - the chorus is good but the twist ending is funny exactly once and there are some CLUNKY lyrics along the way, forcing rhymes where it should have been possible to come up with something or other. OOf.
