taku sugimoto/rady malfatti 2 CD thingy released sometime in the last year: heard one so far (the other one is composed of solos that are mixed together -- even more provacation ho ho) and that was two improvisations, about 30-40 mins each and they must have played no more than 50 notes (I started but to coutn but got bored).

I thought I heard cars passing outside that were recorded while they were playing but when the disc ended those sounds were still there so classic!

surely sugimoto owns this thread:
i would rate the sugimoto/mattin/totsuka disc "training thoughts" - astounding that it took totsuka something like 50 minutes to emit the first squeak from his instrument... sugimoto is yngwie in comparison. and are those recordings of trains, or the actual thing passing by the venue?

Hi jon. Yeah sugimoto ownz but radu is great too (I think I did a thread on both of those a long while back now). Love Italia but that was a long long time ago.

Annette krebs too solo guitar disc on fringes is marvellous stuff too.
