so surely this is one of the biggest dance singles of the year? who's heard it and what do you think? i think it's like techstep meets minimal techno and it's wickedly funky.

Is this the Minus track you're talking about? I love it. It's freaking heavy metal.

philip sherburne (philip sherburne), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 01:35 (twenty-one years ago)

stirmonster, Tuesday, 3 August 2004 09:50 (twenty-one years ago)

oops, i'm thinking of the sub static 12". will check this one out.

stirmonster, Tuesday, 3 August 2004 09:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Bought it last week, played it last Saturday (here, if anyone wants to hear it online, start at the starts at the 24 m 27 s mark). Terrific. He has a few other records out at the moment, right?

JoB (JoB), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 10:02 (twenty-one years ago)

this is better than the one on substatic IIRC

ambrose (ambrose), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 10:07 (twenty-one years ago)

i've only heard one side of the substatic release, and it's not as good, but it's still got that unmistakable vibe his tracks have.

tricky disco, Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:04 (twenty-one years ago)

The Sub Static single is nice, and there's another new single as well in IIWII, but this one is the anthem of the lot. Richie plays it in his Maida Vale set, I'm pretty sure. It's weird, it's the kind of thing I'd think I wouldn't like because it's so freaking obvious and bludgeoning and pretty darn simple. But it's captivating. I can't wait to try to play this out and see how it goes down.

philip sherburne (philip sherburne), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I still can't get into this track!

ambrose (ambrose), Wednesday, 2 March 2005 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I actually like the one on the b-side to decompression a lot as well. It's lighter and sweeter.

Folding Space is the one on the Tiefschwarz mix...
