I want to start a shoegaze band just so I can cover this song. I'd slow it down a little; otherwise, it's perfect and ready to be pilfered wholesale.

Actually, the whole of "Surf's Up" in a shoegaze stylee would be the best thing ever! Why the Boo Radleys never bothered doing this is beyond me.

That Landlocked version is now commercially available on the Endless Harmony soundtrack. And yes, it's fantastic — a little rougher, but gorgeous all the same...

Do you, the Kids, like the Felt version of 'Be Still'? It might be classed as shoegazing, albeit with superior sax, possibly the musician from some über-proto-ur-shoegazers Cocteau Twins record(s).
