Thoughts on the new Alan Parsons album?

I'm listening on headphones, of course. Parsons definitely still has the face-melting special effects touch ... but with an electronica bent now. Hmmmm. It reminds me a bit of the last String Cheese album in places, except not sucky and derivative and all patchouli-smelly. I think I may dig this Parsons album quite a bit, to tell you the truth. Song three, "Mannagamma '04," is permeating my cerebellum nicely.

Maybe this is too much wine speaking here, but since no one replied to this.... Er, I haven't heard an Alan Parsons album in decades, but I did read that interview with him in the new issue of Tape Op. All that stood out were the photos. I'm not knocking Parsons or his accomplishments, but those photos depict one ugly man. He looks like Richard Branson's harelipped twin. I wonder if I'm the first person to notice that?

I ought to shut up and/or pass out now. Sorry.
