Pat Metheney definitely doesn't.

I'm just curious, because I want to know if anyone here likes him. It would be interesting to know.

And Richard Thompson agrees with Metheney.

Just be patient, they'll come on here soon enough...

Gear! (Gear!), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 20:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Kenny G knows cyclic breathing -- hell, I wish I could do that.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 21:52 (twenty-one years ago)

He looks exactly like Geddy Lee (at least his profile does), and their names rhyme, too!!

I'd buy Kenny G Salutes The Magic Of Rush. No, I would.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 21:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Has there been an instrumental single since "Songbird" that's charted as high?

Mark (MarkR), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 22:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd take "Songbird" over pretty much anything on the radio today.

I don't mind him. Not-bad study music.

Kenny G knows cyclic breathing -- hell, I wish I could do that.

In 1997, a Guinness World Record was set for longest held musical note. Kenny G used circular breathing to sustain an E-flat on a saxophone for 45 minutes and 47 seconds.

:-o and :)

On February 2000, Vann Burchfield set a new Guinness world record for circular breathing, holding one continuous note for 47 minutes, 6 seconds, surpassing Kenny G’s record.

:( and ;_;

E flat is such a great note.

dinnerboat, Friday, 12 August 2016 15:31 (nine years ago)

seems like he should've played a G

tylerw, Friday, 12 August 2016 20:22 (nine years ago)

Don't think he'd have been successful if he'd called himself Kenny E. Flatt though. Maybe in bluegrass. As a bluegrass sax player.

I'm getting slight "Celine Dion 33 1/3 book" vibes with that description. Interesting.

He’s a lot better than Kenny H
