CDRGO! 2004: When Genres Attack!

Now that nearly every year between 1956 and 2004 has been successfully strip-mined, it might be wise to plan for what happens when we run out of years to play with.
I think it might be entertaining/enlightening to do mp3 CDR genre compilations.
And so, I have posted this thread as a hub. Here you can post hypothetical tracklists for 700mb mp3 CDR mixes which distill the essence of a genre.
Here's some genres (and sub-genres for those who wish to "specialize") that beg for a disc...
(and feel free to add more to the list.)

    Where's Krautrock?

Dadaismus (Dada), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

The list above is NOT COMPLETE. Eventually, I'll have to add Krautrock to this list.
Are your hankering for constructing a Krautrock mix?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I've already completed a NEW JACK SWING one.

    Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Well....is there a tracklist on ILM for it yet?

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Friday, 13 August 2004 12:58 (twenty-one years ago)

A Krautrock mix would be too long to fit on CD-R methinks

gaz (gaz), Saturday, 14 August 2004 04:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Yep. Same rules as the old CDRGo mixdiscs, except the underlying theme is genre rather than year of release.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Saturday, 14 August 2004 04:25 (twenty-one years ago)

    one year passes...
Did anyone ever finish (or start!?) any of their Genre-themed CDRGo's?

Lord Custos Omicron (Lord Custos Omicron), Friday, 10 February 2006 10:20 (twenty years ago)

I could kick some '50s stuff or country. With some of these genres, though, it's worthy to ask: Whose kids?

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Friday, 10 February 2006 10:35 (twenty years ago)
