Groove Armada, yeah I know.

Groove Armada have never been a band I liked despite being told by many many friends that At The River was fantastic, it never really got through to me. I have the Vertigo album and don't think much of it. However I love "Superstylin'" and think it is one of the singles of the year. I still am afeared to buy the new album though since I am poor and it may be shit. What do you guys think of them.

well Ronan, i have to say i'm pretty much in agreement with you. but Superstylin swung it for me too, and i agree that it is an excellent single (if it had been on the Basement Jaxx album would it have been better received here?) as for the rest of the album, i'm not sure. i had it played to death in my sisters car driving round NY and NJ last month and i grew to like it a lot in the end. if, however, i had heard it in normal circumstances i'm not so sure i would have liked it (there are some 'soulful' vox that would normally turn me off)

one of those artists where the 'back to mine" compilation is better than their own shit. file with everything but the girl, morcheeba, faithless. if their influences are so great, why aren't they? an obvious and pointless question...
