Why does Chris Cornell so obviously hate fun?

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 05:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Jeremy Davies, young George Carlin, and Jame Gumb are having a blast, you know?

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 05:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Clearly, you're not aware of where mr. cornell's hand is.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:09 (twenty-one years ago)

mr. thayil seems all too aware

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, you can all stop being cunts now.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe he's forseen his future as lead singer of Audioslave.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, you can all stop being cunts now.

THIS IS ILX WE NEVER STOP

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:12 (twenty-one years ago)

why is there a ghostly hominculus perched on Thayil's shoulder?

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:14 (twenty-one years ago)

AINT NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH

xpost

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:14 (twenty-one years ago)

why is there a ghostly hominculus perched on Thayil's shoulder?

whoa, mega-creepy. whafuck IS that?

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm wondering what photographer mood suggestion they're all variously interpreting in this pic.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:19 (twenty-one years ago)

"Okay, Pearl Jam! Smile!"

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Fuck! I am taking this shit way too seriously. I get easily offended. Over people I don't even know mocking my questions and remarks. Silly me.
I gotta loosen up.

(But this kinda shit always seems to happen to me and no one else: I go to some blog, ask a question - stupid or not - and I get bombarded with people talking shit. But that's the fucking Internet. That's what it's for.)

It's possible that I'm reading a bit too deeply into this.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahahahaha!

or perhaps, "Show me some grunge."

on preview: Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath man.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really get that. Be more coherent with your messages. Please.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:24 (twenty-one years ago)

that Jame Gumb lookin dude is actually in Pearl Jam now, right? Matt Cameron?

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Relax and don't take it personal; post a bit more selectively and lurk a bit more.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Why don't you just read some stuff on the site. You might pick up some stuff. I did this for seventeen years before posting a question, and even then I had a tenuous grip on what was going on.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:28 (twenty-one years ago)

this looks like a poster for some wacky early-'90s stoner comedy, with Thayil and the other two playing the bumbling heroes and Chris Cornell in the Michael Wincott role, as the villain trying to nab their stash.

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:28 (twenty-one years ago)

"gimme some grunge" is cracking me up btw

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, Nowell. I lurked here for about a month before I started posting replies even and by then had a pretty good idea what would get me flamed and what wouldn't.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Joseph Pot (STINKORâ„¢), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I get it know!
I don't usually go on these...things...blogs.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I see they're already starting to secret away the super-ugly dude by this point.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:33 (twenty-one years ago)

look into the camera and say, "Heroin!"

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:34 (twenty-one years ago)

cornell without a moustache is like a twinkie made entirely of cream.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

much like James Hetfield

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"you in the back, could you just step about three feet to your left please?"

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

be honest; if you saw that face at a bar, wouldn't you chat her up for awhile?
really, she looks easy.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Cornell without a mustache. Cuz I hate mustaches. But there are exceptions.
Actually, on second thought, he does look a bit weird without it.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 06:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah it makes him look like a butch dike without it.

cs appleby (cs appleby), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:08 (twenty-one years ago)

It does! That just articulated what I was thinking.
Am I using that word right?

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:10 (twenty-one years ago)

chris cornell you are is was and forever will be one sad little pussy-ass muthafucka

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:10 (twenty-one years ago)

haha!

cs appleby (cs appleby), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:13 (twenty-one years ago)

You know, that guy from Hanson looks like a butch dyke too.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:15 (twenty-one years ago)

without 'stache, he looks like a poodle-haired wimpy little brother of John Stamos.

Joseph Pot (STINKORâ„¢), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually that guy from Hanson would be a pretty hot chick if you made him up right.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe. I'm a girl. But I wouldn't mind seeing him like that...
Hanson sucks, though.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Psst btw Nowell, this isnt a "blog". Just so's you know.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Nowell's only 15 Trayce!
I nominate her as our new Aja.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 07:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok, it's not a blog. It's a message board. Or something. Whatever. I don't know much about the Internet. I'm rather computer stupid.

Who's Aja? Did you like her? I'm not sure that I want to be the new Aja. I just want to be me.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Fair enough. It's really nothing to worry about.
You're getting the Aja references because:
1) You're waaaay younger than most of us
2) You're a Nirvana fan

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not a Nirvana FANATIC...well, maybe a little.
I don't even have all their albums, and I only own one book about them. But that doesn't say much.
I like other music, too...

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:11 (twenty-one years ago)

You are also acting suspiciously faux-naif too which was an Aja trademark (playing dumb/naive one moment, then hauling out a big word the next... meh.

Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I know. I'm like that. It's not a great quality.

But really, I am not Aja.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I almost listed faux-naif as well but wasn't sure if I wanted to call your bluff just yet.
Understand, we get a lot of trolls here.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I know. It's the Internet.

I must seem a little conflicted.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:30 (twenty-one years ago)

A lot conflicted, actually.

Nowell, Sunday, 22 August 2004 08:30 (twenty-one years ago)

God I love Gear sometimes.

sexyDancer, Sunday, 22 August 2004 16:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't get it. What's going on here.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Sunday, 22 August 2004 17:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm leery of the epistemological consequences of this thread, namely of constructed identities projected onto a pseudo-communal forum of specious ontological value.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Sunday, 22 August 2004 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel ya'.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Sunday, 22 August 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I was ignoring the hazing of Nowell until I found out she was a 15 year old girl. Suddenly I find her quite adorable.

I'm such a cad!

roger adultery (roger adultery), Sunday, 22 August 2004 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Huh?

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Sunday, 22 August 2004 17:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Was that the Melvins? Awesome shot. Someone post a Buttholes pic. I would if I had read the how to post images in the FAQ properly.

piers (piers), Monday, 23 August 2004 00:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Thank you, rogeradultery. I like your name too!

Nowell, Monday, 23 August 2004 00:23 (twenty-one years ago)

a little late but I you're alright too Alex in NYC

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 23 August 2004 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

my thread has become a love-in

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 23 August 2004 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, why shouldn't it be?
Love-ins are FUN. :P

Nowell, Monday, 23 August 2004 00:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I love each and every one of you.

Physically.

Including everyone in that Soundgarden photo.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 23 August 2004 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

in _that_ way?

chris andrews (fraew), Monday, 23 August 2004 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks for sharing.

Nowell, Monday, 23 August 2004 00:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Why don't you just read some stuff on the site. You might pick up some stuff. I did this for seventeen years before posting a question, and even then I had a tenuous grip on what was going on.

i've been here for quite a long time too, and I really have no clue what the hell is going on on this board. alex in nyc likes killing joke right? i think thats all i know about ilm.

astroblaster (astroblaster), Monday, 23 August 2004 01:19 (twenty-one years ago)

That's pretty much it.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Monday, 23 August 2004 01:39 (twenty-one years ago)

the guy in the back in the second picture is replacement bassist jason everman who replaced original bassist hiro yamamoto for the louder than love tour when soundgarden was in between bassists. he is also featured very prominently on the cover of nirvana's debut album, he's the one playing right handed. he supposedly financed the $600 of recording expenses for that record as well.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 23 August 2004 06:05 (twenty-one years ago)

i saw Everman play like 3 times on the Louder Than Love tour. Such was my Soundgarden love. I loved that record. Saw that particular lineup a bunch - but I always regretted missing Hiro. Hiro ruled. Circle of power and shit.

Monetizing Eyeballs (diamond), Monday, 23 August 2004 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

ben sheperd is a bass-king, though! do you reckon everman get a slice of the profits off of Bleach? is that the most profitable album ever?

stevie (stevie), Monday, 23 August 2004 10:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Where is Hiro now?

Angus Von Santana, Tuesday, 24 August 2004 03:01 (twenty-one years ago)

five years pass...

They went for the same joke I did, I see.

Born In A Test Tube, Raised In A Cage (unperson), Friday, 20 August 2010 15:37 (fifteen years ago)

That's probably the ugliest WOLF I've ever seen, to say nothing of the overall design.

Ground Zero Mostel (Hurting 2), Friday, 20 August 2010 15:58 (fifteen years ago)

I mean yow! It's like "In case you were still thinking about buying a CD here's another reason not to"

Ground Zero Mostel (Hurting 2), Friday, 20 August 2010 15:59 (fifteen years ago)

wolf looks like he's smelling something nassssty.

tylerw, Friday, 20 August 2010 16:02 (fifteen years ago)
