the guy in the back in the second picture is replacement bassist jason everman who replaced original bassist hiro yamamoto for the louder than love tour when soundgarden was in between bassists. he is also featured very prominently on the cover of nirvana's debut album, he's the one playing right handed. he supposedly financed the $600 of recording expenses for that record as well.

i saw Everman play like 3 times on the Louder Than Love tour. Such was my Soundgarden love. I loved that record. Saw that particular lineup a bunch - but I always regretted missing Hiro. Hiro ruled. Circle of power and shit.
